wu qingjun is a professor at the school of labor and human resources, renmin university of china, and the director of the institute of labor relations at the same university. he studied at the department of sociology, jilin university from 1998 to 2002, where he earned his bachelor's degree. from 2002 to 2007, he pursued a doctor of laws degree in sociology at tsinghua university. since 2007, he has served in various capacities at renmin university's school of labor and human resources, including lecturer, associate professor, and professor.
his main areas of expertise include the digital economy and flexible employment, outsourcing management, and the digitalization of employment and talent. he has published over 60 papers in domestic and international journals, including sociological studies, society, chinese public administration, journal of industrial relations, and international labor review, with more than 20 articles in authoritative national journals. recent publications include "governance of labor relations in china" (2021), "forty years of labor relations studies in china" (2020), "china flexible employment development report 2021" (2020), and "china flexible employment development report 2022" (2021).
his primary research projects include leading three national social science fund projects and over ten industry-funded projects. he has collaborated with leading companies such as alibaba, ant group, tencent, meituan, didi chuxing, baidu, lenovo, and kuaishou on research projects. recent public reports include "flexible employment index study", "the employment effects of artificial intelligence: an empirical study based on baidu’s open source platform", "from driving employment to enhancing job quality: the employment value of digital platforms in the integration of digital realities", and "ant group outsourcing employment management study".
