human resource management
sun jianmin, ph.d. in psychology, is a professor at the school of labor and human resources at renmin university of china. he has previously served as the associate dean of the school of science at renmin university, the chair of the management psychology committee of the chinese psychological society, the vice chair of the behavioral and health committee of the chinese psychological society, and the associate editor for both the human resource management journal and human resource development quarterly.
his research areas include strategic human resource management, leadership styles and leadership effectiveness, employee attitudes and behaviors, and the relationship between national culture and organizational management. he has been a visiting scholar at institutions such as the state university of new york at buffalo, the degroote school of business at mcmaster university in canada, and the warrington college of business at the university of florida. he has also taught courses at the university of new south wales and the university of auckland.
sun jianmin has received several prestigious awards, including the dave ulrich impact award from the human resources division of the academy of management (aom), the scientist-practitioner presidential recognition award from the society for industrial and organizational psychology, national and beijing city-level teaching achievement awards from the ministry of education, the outstanding doctoral dissertation advisor award from renmin university of china, and the international summer session honorary teacher award.
